Good morning, everyone. I don’t really know what to say in this blog to tell you the truth. It is definitely a tough one to write. I would be lying if I said there were not many ups and downs throughout the race. Unfortunately, our weekend ended on an extremely sad note when we all lost a great racer, innovator, and friend. Everything began really well. The weather was phenomenal so I did some much needed Harley-riding in downtown Seattle and took a dip in one of the many lakes around Kent, WA. When racing began on Friday, we were ready to rock and roll. Our car consistently got better throughout the weekend running a 5.42, 5.33 and ended up qualifying #2 with a 5.327. Things got even better during eliminations after our first round 5.36 when we ran that 5.29 that we have been waiting for all year long. We tried a few new things this weekend including a new injector hat and it seems to be working out. In 3rd round, I had the pleasure of racing Mark Niver. Everything kind of happened so fast during Mark’s accident that I am almost at a loss for words on what to say. We lost the round, but to be honest, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I am so glad Mark got to see that win light in his lane. He was without a doubt, one of the nicest people I have ever met and I am honored that I got to know and race with such a great guy. Mark will always be a winner to all of us and we will all miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends while they deal with their loss. I am not quite sure what my next race is on the schedule but I have almost all of my motors rebuilt and I am spending long hours in shop as usual trying to get everything ready to go. So for now, I am going to get back to work and I will see you all out at the track.
